The
following information should be given for all items
ordered:
Size
and Gauge:
Specify dimension desired for the finished tubing, i.e., outside diameter,
inside diameter, and wall thickness. Two of these dimensions must be specified.
Specifications:
Make reference to desired tubing specifications if
possible.
Lengths:
Random lengths, cut lengths, multiple lengths.
Analysis:
Specify AISI type number or state if special alloy or other type of material.
Tolerances:
Standard tolerances will apply unless otherwise specified. Tolerances include
OD, ID, wall thickness, length, straightness.
Finish:
Kind of tubing surface required if other than bright
annealed.
Temper:
Annealed, Hard-drawn.
Mechanical
and Physical Properties:
Tensile and yield strengths if other than standard.
Type:
Seamless Welded and Drawn — As Welded. When in doubt on any specification,
consult Greenville Tube for recommendations.
